I would definitely consider taking another one of the different tours offered. I highly recommend Beaches of Normandy Tours! I would also recommend taking the tour first on your vacation if you have plans for visting other countries. Taking the tour first sets you up for a pleasent remainder of your vacation so your not having to head home.

It was so much fun, and so stress free, I'd do another tour with them in a heartbeat.

This was a great tour, not too long and not to short. Very informative, we saw a lot of WWII sites, cemeteries, and beaches. We had the right amount of people on our tour, we didn't have to fight to see or hear. The whisper's work great to hear all the information.

This was a bucket list tour that provided the reality of what happened during World War II. From our tour guide to our bus driver to the hotels, everything was very tactfully planned out. There is also free time to explore with your travel companion, but also time to enjoy the camaraderie of your group. One thing that was incredibly touching was watching two tour members lay flowers at the Luxembourg cemetery in remembrance of their family members that fought. I can’t say enough great things, and these are memories that will last a lifetime. Nine days was perfect and I would recommend this tour company as they are top notch. “We remember and will never forget.”

We think BoN is an outstanding organization and does a super job from sign-up to tour completion. We have recommended you to several of our friends who are interested in history, but are not secure with traveling on their own for various reasons. We are discussing/considering the Southern Italy tour in the future, but are really only interested in the WW II history, not the 'tourist' visits to Pompei and Rome. Could you perhaps add Taranto to the itinerary? Also, Malta could be an add-on or perhaps its own tour?

A very nice small tour group easy to manage. Food, hotels and transportation was well planned. So much history to cover.

This was an amazing trip. What really sold us in doing a tour group was the reviews left by others; and we were far from disappointed. Our tour director, Anna, was phenomenol. She was extremely organized and kept everything right on track. Our local tour guides were also great. The amount of time and energy that is put to make this a great trip was amazing. You can see things if you do these trips on your own, but you do not get the history behind it without the guides, and some of the personal experiences that were had, if you are/ were lucky enough to get Henry as your guide in Bastogne. I highly recommend Beach of Normandy Tours to anyone truly looking at getting that maybe once in a lifetime trip with alot of history.

This being my third tour, I have to say BoN gets it right! I’ve found these trips to be a great value in that it’s an optimal mix of WW2 and cultural attractions that a person would not otherwise experience in a garden variety tour. Being a nervous traveler, I’ve found the tour guides, transportation, hotels, food…all are well thought out, organized, secure & top quality so that you can fully immerse & enjoy the experience to the max!

I would have preferred more time at the Polish Aviation Museum and less on the Jewish district tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Normandy beaches and Mont Saint Michel with the Beaches of Normandy tour group! Everything met or exceeded our expectations! Our guide, Sofia Pinter was absolutely wonderful. She was efficient, thoughtful, helpful, patient, friendly (always with a smile) and so knowledgeable. I think she was the best guide we’ve ever had. We were sad to say goodbye to her! Christophe, our local guide the first two days was amazingly knowledgeable. His knowledge of the battles of Normandy was encyclopedic! He gave us so much information that I had trouble taking it all in. I would have welcomed a moment or two to ask questions or just to think about what I had heard. He was very good! The hotel Mercure Omaha Beach was excellent. The setting is beautiful, our room was comfortable and the buffet breakfast was perfect. Our dinners were good, though it might have been nice to have had a choice some evenings.The service was good each night and we appreciated having a choice of wine. The logistics of the whole tour were handled perfectly. Everything was on time. The bus was very comfortable and the driver, Csaba, was very good. We felt very fortunate that there were only 15 of us on the tour. Our group got along so well and we enjoyed making new friends. I will have only positive comments to say to anyone I tell about the tour!

Yes, I definitely recommend you. The tour was very informative and an eye opener for some of us who wanted more in depth information and experience on World War Two. I’d like to suggest that you add an extra day on this tour and include a visit to Salzburg and the history of the Von Trapp family, from whom the Sound of Music movie and show stem from. This would alight from the somber mood of the horrors of war.

For anyone that enjoys World War II history and also wants to see Europe, this is the trip for you. BoN Tours was incredible. This tour exceeded every expectation. We spent days walking the actual ground where Easy Company and so many others fought — Utah and Omaha Beaches, the cliffs at Pointe du Hoc, the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, and eventually the foxholes of Bois Jacques near Bastogne. Having watched the HBO series beforehand made every stop hit even harder; standing in those same trenches in the Ardennes was chilling in the best way. Our guide's knowledge was extraordinary — not just dates and troop movements, but personal stories about the individual soldiers that made the history feel real rather than abstract. The pacing was well thought out, mixing major landmarks with lesser-known sites most visitors never see, and there was always time to just stand quietly and take it in. Logistics were seamless from pickup to hotel to every stop along the way. This isn't a rushed bus tour — it's an immersive, respectful, and genuinely emotional experience. If you have any interest in WWII history, especially the story of the 101st Airborne, this tour is worth every penny. Can't recommend it enough.

The Band of Brothers Tour was simply amazing. If you want to be where it really happened, take this tour. My warning is that as you go through the tour and see the locations be ready to be a changed person. No amount of reading or movies will prepare you for what you will experience on this tour.

We took the Beaches of Normandy tour; we were lucky enough to be at Normandy Cemetery on Memorial Day witnessing TAPS as veterans that was truly memorable. The places we visited, the people we met local and on the tour, really enhanced the experience. Our tour guide was excellent and the skills of our bus driver unmatched. We would really recommend this tour if you have interest in D-day and WWII.

I would highly recommend the Beaches of Normandy Tours. This was my husband´s 70th birthday travel bucket list item as he loves military history. I thought I would be a little bored, BUT that was not the case. With expert guides and the right balance of history with free time in some of the towns, I never lost interest. My husband and I liked the hotel we stayed at during the tour. It was centrally located in Caen and very nice, as well as the breakfasts and dinners. We liked the fact you could unpack once and visit all the Normandy beaches. I can´t give and say enough praises about our tour guide, Tunde, and our driver, Zoltan, - other than the best I have had on other tours and cruises.

I would recommend Beaches of Normandy Tours. The entire staff were there to help with chairs, bandages, helping people on and off the bus, and always with sweet smiles.

This trip was even better than we had imagined. To others reading reviews try to take this trip during D-Day as there are many celebrations and American flags, vehicles from the war, people dressed up in timely clothing and celebrations that added even more to a wonderful trip. It was so moving to visit the places our fathers had been so many years ago and the trip explained so much that our fathers never wanted to talk about. The local guides added much more information than just viewing the attractions on your own. The beaches, museums, towns, memorials and so much more than we would have ever thought about. It was wonderful to visit so many places along with the time for us to explore some of the places somewhat on our own. The trip kept us busy but not to the point of wearing a person out and the free time through the day was good to allow everyone to do things that interested them. The hotels were great and a nice breakfast was a good start to every day. The timing of the start and end of each day was appropriate and allowed us visit also with others in the group. I have recommended this trip to many people. This is the best trip I have ever taken.

Exceptional tour! Much of WWII played out or impacted Poland - this tour was an incredible learning experience. The tour director, local tour guides and tour itinerary brought Poland and its WWII history to life.

The WWI tour was thoughtfully and efficiently planned to address as clearly as possible the overlapping and often confusing major offensives of the war. Our tour director was quite knowledgeable (as well as helpful and just fun), and the local guides for the various battlefields were both expert and enthusiastic. The accommodations were top notch. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning more about WWI-- its actions, sacrifices, costs, memorials, and consequences!

Our Beaches of Normandy Tour exceeded every expectation that we had, it was the best money we've spent on a vacation! The days were filled with in-depth knowledge on the areas and the history. Every detail during our journey (aside from airfare) was taken care of, including tour tickets, hotel accommodations and museum entrance fees. We never had to stand in line for entrances for sights, and didn't have to depend on ourselves to figure out an itinerary. The staff is a lot of fun and friendly, they seem to truly love what they do. We highly recommend!

If there was something that did not go perfect, Marton, our tour guide took care of it seemlessly. I would not change one thing about our Beaches of Normandy Band of Brothers tour. It is one of the most memorable and important things I have ever done.

The Britain at War tour was my third tour with BoN in as many years (the others being Band of Brothers and Southern Italy). Our Tour Director Ben Major and our driver Pisti were both first rate. All the local guides were outstanding, as you would expect from a BoN tour. For anyone interested in a deeper dive into the Battle of Britain and the lead up to the D-Day invasion, this tour is for you. I doubt that you will be disappointed. The sites, accommodations and meals were excellent. I've already booked my fourth BoN tour for next May (Third Reich Tour), for a deeper understanding of the German involvement in the war.

We were on the inaugural tour of the War in Poland! This tour is a must for anyone interested in learning how WWII started and the treatment of Jewish and Polish people during the war. It is a eye-opening experience of the actions of the Germans on the Poles. Seeing the 3 big death camps to the glorious cathedrals in the different cities was truly a moving experience! Wolf's Liar and Warsaw Salt Mines are must see and included in the tour! The hotels and food are top notch, as well as the tour directors. If you have any thoughts of doing this tour, do not hesitate, do it!! Just be prepared to do a lot of walking!!
